Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League revealed at Sony State of Play event for PS5

The Sony State of Play event, held on February 23rd, revealed a brand new game called Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, set to release exclusively on the PlayStation 5 console. Developed by Rocksteady Studios, the team behind the Batman: Arkham series, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an action-packed adventure featuring the supervillain team from DC Comics.

The game takes place in the same universe as the Batman: Arkham series and puts players in control of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang. The Suicide Squad is tasked with taking down the Justice League, who have been brainwashed by Brainiac into becoming a dangerous threat to the city of Metropolis. The game promises to be an exciting and challenging experience, with players having to navigate a vibrant open-world environment while battling against formidable foes.

Rocksteady Studios has also promised that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will feature a four-player co-op mode, allowing players to team up with their friends and take on the game’s challenges together. This multiplayer mode will offer a unique experience, as each player will control a different member of the Suicide Squad, each with their own abilities and playstyle.

The reveal trailer for the game showcased some of the characters’ abilities, with Deadshot using his wrist-mounted guns to take out enemies, Harley Quinn using her signature mallet to whack enemies, King Shark charging at enemies with his immense strength, and Captain Boomerang throwing his boomerangs with deadly accuracy. The trailer also showed off a brainwashed Superman, who will serve as one of the game’s primary antagonists.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League promises to be an exciting addition to the PlayStation 5’s game library, offering players a chance to control some of DC Comics’ most notorious villains and take on the world’s greatest heroes. The game is set to release in 2022, and fans can look forward to more information and gameplay footage as the release date approaches.
