Xbox has teamed up with Disney to release two new limited-edition consoles in celebration of the upcoming third season of the hit Star Wars show, ‘The Mandalorian’. The consoles feature designs inspired by the show’s iconic characters, Mando and Grogu (aka Baby Yoda).
The Mando console is a custom Xbox Series X console with a matte black finish and a design inspired by Mando’s beskar armor. The console features a unique blue light on the top fan that resembles Mando’s helmet visor, and the controller has a similar design with a metallic silver and black finish.
The Grogu console, on the other hand, is a custom Xbox Series S console with a two-tone green finish inspired by the character’s skin. The console features Grogu’s big ears on the top, and the controller has a similar design with a brown and green finish.
Both consoles come with a special power-up sound effect when you turn them on and a custom startup animation featuring the ‘Star Wars’ logo and the respective character’s theme music. Additionally, the consoles come with a code to download the third season of ‘The Mandalorian’ when it becomes available on Disney+ later this year.
The Mando and Grogu consoles are available for pre-order now and are expected to ship in November, just in time for the release of the third season of ‘The Mandalorian’ on Disney+. This is not the first time Xbox has partnered with ‘Star Wars’ to release special edition consoles, as they previously released a limited edition ‘Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’ Xbox One X console in 2019.
